As a Postpartum Doula I am available to help you settle into your new role as mother to this child. I strive to create an emotionally safe place, a nest for the new family, so that you can nurture and feel nurtured. “My role” is to help relieve some of the pressure on a new mom. I help you move into your new responsibilities gradually, mothering the mother, so that you feel supported and cared for in “your new role”. These first few weeks and months postpartum are “once in a lifetime” opportunities to bond and connect with your new baby, when you feel supported and understood, when your needs are met, then you will naturally be better able to focus on nurturing your new baby.
As your Postpartum Doula I am committed to helping your during the first 12 postpartum weeks (the 4th trimester) because this is such an amazing and transformative time not only in a baby’s life but in your own life as well. My job is to take the stress and worry out of becoming a new mom so that you can rest, relax and focus on loving and bonding with your new and amazing baby.
My role will change from day to day as the needs of the family change, but rest assured that I will do whatever you need to best enjoy and care for your baby each day. I allow you the opportunity to sleep, bathe, and eat a full meal, knowing that your baby is nearby and cared for while you nurture yourself. I make sure that both you and your baby are fed, well hydrated, clean and comfortable. I am available for grocery shopping, running errands, light housekeeping, laundry and other domestic chores. I am also available for food preparation and basic cooking to provide simple healthy meals for you and your family.
PACKAGES
GIFT PACKAGE (1 VISIT)
The perfect shower gift for the new mom-to-be in your life. This package is also great for new moms who already have help but need a one time visit to have questions answered or to just take a nap.
One-time 2 hour visit: $40
One-time 4 hour visit: $80
COMING HOME BASIC PACKAGE
One 1-hour face to face visit in your home before the baby is born ALWAYS FREE
One 20-minute visit while you are still in hospital following birth
Six 4-hour Postpartum Doula visits after the baby arrives
Cost: $500
This fee includes all of the services as listed above. A $250 deposit is due upon the signing of the contract. The remaining balance (if not paid in full initially) will be invoiced after the first postpartum home visit and is due upon receipt.
BABY MOON (4TH TRIMESTER) PACKAGE
One 1-hour face to face visit in your home before the baby is born ALWAYS FREE
One 20-minute visit while you are still in hospital following birth
Twelve 4-hour Postpartum Doula visits after the baby arrives
Cost: $1000
This fee includes all of the services as listed above. A $500 deposit is due upon the signing of the contract. The remaining balance (if not paid in full initially) will be invoiced as two biweekly installments of $250 after the first postpartum home visit and is due upon receipt.
