Just a reminder that exercise works wonders for your mental health as exercise is a distraction that allows the portion of your brain (Limbic System) that stirs up anxiety to cool off and tamp down on the heightened stress and emotions we are all experiencing during these trying times.
The complex compound carefully coordinated movements of a Yoga, Dance, or Strong, Lean, Limber class are all ideal for working your brain out of an anxious ridden state.
All of these class options offer the opportunity to experience "flow" the feeling of complete brain engagement in a creative or playful activity. The brain has no room to worry about "what if" and stand in a complicated Yoga pose, master an intricate dance step, or follow carefully coordinated alignment cues.
Instead all it feels is the sweet neuro distraction of FLOW. So it is with great pleasure that I can say:
We have (finally!) worked out how to move forward with pay-for-virtual-classes. And - we trust this is the easiest solution for everyone.
It seems the LIVE approach was fraught with complexities, so we’ve got a system for continuing to do these videos via YouTube. This way, everyone can access at their leisure and not worry about a fixed time.
So, please read on.
1. Classes will continue to be YOUTUBE links. They will be tagged “Unlisted” - so no one can find them via public YouTube. You will get the links e-mailed through Debbie (The Yoga Whole) and/or by special request from Lynne.
2. Methods to Purchase
If you have an existing class pass, you may either respond to this newsletter or CLICK HERE to let Debbie know which class(es) you want to apply a class pass(es) to.
Each video requested counts as a separate class. A contact form is provided in the left hand column of The Yoga Whole Homepage. CLICK HERE to purchase/request video links.
If you don’t currently have a pass, or want to do a Drop-In… simply CLICK HERE and purchase a pass and request videos.
You must have purchased to receive your link. Debbie will keep track.
3. Each week Lynne will offer Improvement Through Movement (Dance); Strong, Lean & Limber and Yoga classes. Debbie will offer weekly Mixed Level Yoga and Prenatal Yoga classes
4. New classes will be posted each week and will be available for a whole week. As new ones are made, the old ones will be removed from the site. That means you can use them endlessly for the one-week window.
5. This process will be in place beginning April 11th and beyond, if shutdowns continue into May.
6. We understand that this time is difficult and you may not possess the means for such discretionary funding so please CLICK HERE to view FREE video links for a variety of classes. One way or the other we will get through this--together.
